Dr. John Norris
John Norris was the founding Principal Investigator and Director of the AELRC at its inception in 2014. He is now a Principal Research Scientist at the Educational Testing Service. His primary research interests include educational uses of language assessment, program evaluation, task-based language teaching, and research synthesis.

Dr. John McE. Davis
John McE. Davis was one of the founding members of the AELRC at its inception in 2014. He is a Research Scientist in the English Language Learning and Assessment Center at the Educational Testing Service. His research interests are in task-based language teaching, teacher training, language assessment, and program evaluation.

Dr. Margaret Malone
Margaret E. Malone (Ph.D., Georgetown University) served as the Director of the AELRC from 2016 – 2021 and was involved with the center since its founding in 2014. As Director, she led projects related to the Seal of Biliteracy, C-Test development, program evaluation, and language assessment literacy. She is now the Director of Assessment and Research at ACTFL.
