Sunwoo (Sunny) Lee is a Ph.D. candidate in Linguistics at Georgetown University, specializing in theoretical and applied linguistics. Her research focuses on L2 pronunciation, accents, multilingual speech, and language assessment. She is particularly interested in how people's attitudes about pronunciation and/or accents shape evaluations of accented speech, how these judgments relate to phonetic properties, and how that human evaluation compares with AI-based assessment.
